Shawn Miklic

1967-06-15 2006-01-16

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Shawn Miklic.

Shawn grew up in Victoria. He first worked for the Coast Guard before becoming an electrician for Bridge Systems and then Houle Electric.

The most treasured moments of Shawn’s life were those spent with his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Cindy and daughter, Haleigh. Shawn will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Stan and Sally Miklic; his mother-in-law, Connie Braun; his brother, Todd (Vikki); nephews, Randy, Dusten, and Tyelar; sisters and brothers-in-law; nephews and cousins that he adored.

It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to this amazing man; the most devoted husband, loving father, dedicated son and generous friend to all who knew him. Shawn lived every day to the fullest, with compassion and integrity. He had the courage to stand tall and to do the right thing in every circumstance. He always went the extra mile. Shawn was full of gratitude for the birth of his lovely daughter, Haleigh, and never once took for granted the honour of being a Dad. His biggest joy was to bring happiness to others and to put a smile on their faces. Shawn was always the first to help his family and friends; we are inspired by his generosity. He will be remembered as the best of the best.

A Memorial Service was held at McCall Brothers Floral Chapel, Johnson & Vancouver Streets on Tuesday, January 24th, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at McCall Gardens.
